Becki Newton

Becki lived in Guilford, Connecticut. When she was 13 she began performing in community productions such as performances for the summer season and in community theater. When she was enrolled in European History at Penn, she also did several semesters in Europe. Becki moved to NYC soon after graduation in order to pursue Broadway. Following her appearance in many nationally-telecast commercials, as well as guest-starring parts, such as Cold Case (2003), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999), and American Dreams (2002), Becki was offered the part of Amanda in Ugly Betty (2006). She is married to Chris Diamantopoulos and has a brother that is Matt Newton. They're stunning, but not models of the highest caliber. I'm fortunate to let the professionals do it on the job and for red-carpet functions, because I can't say I'm adept. Yet, I don't like taking chances with regards to beauty. It's fun to be glamorous! It's not about being overly fussy and taking care of yourself. It's been my experience that there's nothing wrong with being a bit naughty.
